A Sampling of Sippy Cups
I found a very well crafted review of BPA-free sippy cups today that I want to pass on. The site is called Z Recommends and they toddler-tested 7 different cups and rated them on Ease & Care of Use, Durability and Eye Appeal. Their best pick was the BornFree toddler cup made of polyamide plastic which is deemed safe for kids. A close second was the SIGG aluminum kids cup.
A quick reminder...BPA, or Bisphenol-A is used in production of polycarbonate plastics (#7 for recycling purposes). BPA can leach into liquids (especially when heated) and has been linked to reproductive and immune system problems. I wrote about my dilemma about using Nalgene bottles last summer.
By the way, I learned about this review on Sk*rt. Have you heard of Sk*rt? It's a very cool new website for women where readers post interesting articles and information. You get to vote for topics that interest you and the most popular things rise to the top. It's hard to imagine it - just go check it out. I've found lots of interesting things there. The only problem is that I'm getting sucked into more web-reading than I want to. Time to get off the computer and go play with the kids....
P.S. Sk*rt has been so popular that they having trouble staying online! Apparently moving to a new web server or something. If you can't get through today, check back tomorrow - I'd say it's worth your time!
