Mindful Momma Giveaway: OBLI Organics
I did a little teaser on OBLI Organics the other day, but now it's time for a little more detail...and a giveaway to boot!
OBLI Organics clothing company was started by 2 sisters, Michelle and Melissa, who were inspired to live a greener lifestyle when breast cancer struck their family. That, combined with solid marketing experience and a long-standing desire to start a family business pushed the sisters to dive head first into the organic fashion industry. Pretty gutsy, if you ask me!
The business was built around organic and Fair Trade principles with the goal of offering hip and trendy clothing with an 'ecolectual' edge. In fact, they coined the term 'ecolectual' to help communicate the company's mission of taking intelligent action in support of environmental and organic lifestyle choices. Even the company name OBLI has an environmental focus. It stands for On Borrowed Land, Inc. as a reminder that we are all just "borrowing" the land we live on and must leave something for our children's future.
All of OBLI's products are produced using 100% certified organic cotton and manufactured under Fair Trade practices. Their commitment to being 'green' extends to product packaging as well:
Stationary and hang tags are printed using soy ink on FSC certified paper made from 30% post consumer waste and sugar cane fiber.
- Logo stickers are made from recycled paper and completely dissolve in water.
- Gift boxes and tissue paper are made from 100% recycled materials.
- Hemp twine is used on gift boxes and hang tags.
Michelle and Melissa are kind enough to offer up an OBLI kimono and yoga pant set to one lucky Mindful Momma reader. You pick the color combo you like best! If you want a chance to win, just leave a comment on this post, letting me know what you like about OBLI Organics. The contest will run through Monday, March 17th at 12:00 midnight (One entry per person please and you must have a U.S. shipping address.) and I will post the winner on Tuesday, March 18th. Good luck!!
