So, you just wash and dry the wool and it turns into felt?

Yep. Just throw the sweater in the wash with HOT water. I often run them through twice to get them good and felty.
(I'm glad you asked - I meant to add a link to a previous post I did about felting - just went back and added it!)

Darn! Those are super super cute. I fear I'm not talented enough. Or my old sweaters not cute enough. Hmm

You should put the sweater in a pillowcase while washing & drying, too, so that the fibers don't ruin your washer & dryer. I guess if you just do a few it would be OK. I make felted baby slippers... see www.woolybaby.etsy.com.
