If you're in baby food mode, than you probably know that there are a lot of great options out there...and they don't all come in jars.
HappyBaby is a line of premium organic baby meals founded by 2 women who wanted to bring fresh, organic, homemade baby food to people who don't quite have the time to do it all themselves (read: the majority of the population!)
The original HappyBaby line is fresh, frozen baby food that comes in cute bite-sized cubes that you can pop out whenever you need. Freezing is as close as you can come to fresh - you can see it in the vibrant colors! But what you don't see is that freezing preserves nutrients much better than the heat-processing that jarred baby food endures.
Start with Simple Purees for babies 6 months and older, move on to Smooth Combos at 7 months and graduate to Sorta Chunky when your baby reaches 9 months. What I love is that baby gets exposed to all sorts of new flavors...like mint (in the peas), cinnamon & coriander (in the Baby Dahl) and yes, even garlic (in Gobble, Gobble - baby's version of a turkey dinner!)
And now they've got a new addition to the family: HappyBellies, organic, dry cereals that are formulated with probiotics to strengthen your baby's digestive system. HappyBellies come in 3 varieties: Brown Rice, Oatmeal and Multi-Grain.
The gals at HappyBaby are nice enough to offer up a primo prize package to one Mindful Momma reader: a coupon for a free trial package of HAPPYBABY frozen baby food, 3 cans of HAPPYBELLIES cereal (one of each kind), an adorable HappyBaby organic cotton t-shirt and a signed copy of The Vaccine Book by Dr. Sears.
If you want a chance to win, just let me know what you like about the HappyBaby line. Leave your comment on this post before midnight, central time on Tuesday, June 3rd. (only one comment per person please and you must have a U.S. shipping address)
This contest is now closed. Congratulations to Micara Coats who won the HappyBaby prize package!
I love the perfect serving sizes. You only defrost what you need so there's less waste. :)

I LOVE that this line of baby food was made by moms for moms and their babies. Who better than to make baby food than the moms who have to use it! :) I also love that they're portion sized and that the packaging is minimal. Great stuff!

My son is 4 1/2 months so we'll be starting on food in the next month or so. I love that this food is natural and organic - just what I want to feed my baby. Also, the flavors are fantastic and will expose his developing palate to a wide variety. So cool!

I make my own baby food but I get kind of lazy about it. I think the different combinations and spices they add must really help the palatability.
