I've been getting ready for the big family Thanksgiving dinner - we're hosting this year!! Shop, clean, cook....and repeat. A lot of work? Yes, but I do love to entertain!!
I picked up the fresh, local, free-range turkey at the co-op this morning - my husband will brine it and cook it to perfection no doubt. I've got a slew of recipes to make including a cranberry chutney made with organic cranberries from neighboring Wisconsin and this triple-chocolate pumpkin pie from Martha Stewart - using freshly baked, local pumpkin instead of canned!
I'll be busy with family and probably won't be on the computer much for the rest of the week. Just thought I would share a pic of the gorgeous floral arrangement that I bought from a small, local eco-friendly floral design business - Molly's Gardens. I discovered her at the DO IT GREEN gift show 3 years ago and have been a customer ever since. Doesn't she do beautiful work?
Happy Thanksgiving - we have a lot to be thankful for!
That all sounds lovely! Happy Thanksgiving - your preparations make me think of this: http://www.culinate.com/mix/dinner_guest/home_making.
