Crazy traffic, high gas prices, annoying crowds, inconvenient hours....I'm telling you, internet shopping sounds better and better all the time. If eco-friendly and fair trade is your thing, then Wedge Worldwide might be just the place you want to shop in the middle of the night or whenever the urge strikes you.
This awesome online store carries a great selection of earth and people friendly products for home, garden and body...and it just happens to be owned by my local co-op, The Wedge! What stands out about the shopping experience at Wedge Worldwide is that each product is accompanied by icons that give you the scoop on the environmental and social status of the product. Here are just a few examples:
This product has less of an environmental impact than many of its commonplace counterparts.
The vendor that we purchase this product from is a registered member of the Fair Trade Federation.
This product is made from organically grown material.
This product is made from recycled materials.
So, how would you like to give shopping at Wedge Worldwide a whirl? One Mindful Momma reader will get 50 bucks to spend whenever they want, on whatever they want, while wearing whatever they want. All you have to do to be in the running is to take a peek at the Wedge Worldwide website and tell me what cool eco-friendly products you'd pick if you won. The giveaway will run through midnight central time on Wednesday, September 9th. (only one entry per person and you must have a U.S. shipping address)
Now if it were me with a $50 credit at Wedge Worldwide, I'd be looking at buying this cool hemp bag
or maybe some Fair Trade, vegan sneakers!
What would you buy?
The lucky winner is Carole Penner who said she would probably go for some bamboo clothing. Enjoy your eco-friendly shopping spree Carole!
Generous giveaway! Thank you for introducing us to this site. I wish all companies were this environmentally and socially responsible.
As much as I love Dr. Hauschka skincare products, I think if I won, I would buy the Day on the Farm play set and some fair trade figurines as a gift for my niece.

Thanks for your support of Fair Trade - I don't see this company as a member of the Fair Trade Federation. Can you tell us more about them?
Thanks!

I even found several things I could gift to my husband who is very hard to shop for... thanks for this wonderful giveaway and introducing me to a great website!

Ooh, so hard to choose! Thanks for the opportunity to win. After much deliberation I think I'd go with the Canary Poppies Organic O.N.E. Bag--and with the money leftover, stock up on the Equal Exchange Organic Spicy Hot Cocoa recommended in the staff picks. It's been feeling like fall already and putting me in the mood for delicious warm beverage goodness.

I really enjoyed visiting the WedgeWorldCoop site. I thought about the water barrel but realized I will not be able to use it since I will be away helping family out. Since I will be grandma again soon (my 5th - but 1st girl) and 1 of my sisters just became grandma (1st time)I decided to go with Haba Frog & Haba Beetle clutch toys; organic Killington mtn socks for my hubby (we get snow etc - plus he needs a little something to help keep him warm while I am gone)and the dishcloth set to keep in the car. All for $49.96 + 6.95 shipping. Super eco-shopping! http://www.wedgeworldwide.coop/haba-beetle-clutching-toy-p-1799.html

Hi! Thanks for the opportunity to win! There are a number of things I would like to buy from the site -- it's so hard to choose. But within the 50 dollar limit, I would go for the Large Laptop Lunch System for my son; the included book will help a lot. We are always short of ideas for lunch box!
For myself, I really would like the Hemp Sholder Bag, but I may have to save all that for Christmas shopping. ;)
Have a beautiful day!
PS: I logged in through Facebook and my name didn't show ... my name is Yayoi.
