This is such an adorable idea and I love that you used your son's artwork for Valentines. I think next year I will combine the two suggestions. I opted to make Valentines this year and took on a project that required far too much time and far too little kids involvement. I learned my lesson and will do it differently next time.

That is an adorable card! I'm sure you'll treasure it Owl-Ways.

Thanks for the great picture of the owl Valentine…it was a hoot! In keeping with the vision of my small business, http://www.betterworldbuys.com, we used some ideas from this month’s Family Fun magazine and put an environmentally responsible twist on them. For my daughter, we made handmade plantable paper with water color painted flowers that said “Blooms for You!”. We attached coffee filter flowers and included planting instructions. For my son, we used old manila folders, clean but used foil and cut up upc symbols off old food boxes to create our Recycled Robots. Both crafts proved to be a good lesson in recycling and creatively making the most of what you have.
