Fair Trade is important to me because it helps to alleviate poverty and end the exploitation of workers.

While I would absolutely love to completely provide all the food for my family, it's not entirely possible. Organic is the next best thing for us. Knowing that what I am feeding my one year old son is held to a standard is important to us.

Fair trade is also important - knowing the the farmers who provide us with delicious food are receiving a fair wage puts me at ease :-)

Organic is important so that I'm not consuming poison. Fair trade is important so that I don't support illegal slave labor.

Stephanie

Fair trade is important because it helps to ensure workers are not being taken advantage of for ingredients we can't grow in the US. Organic is important to avoid the GMO soy and other junk that might be in other chocolate.

May Canadians enter? Fair trade and organic are important to me because I've done enough farm work to know how hard it is and that I wouldn't want to work with the chemicals used in many types of conventional farming.

(I'm having trouble with my internet - I'm sorry if I've posted this more than once.)

I couldn't say it any better than Amy did: Fair trade and organic matter to me because it means the product I'm buying is good for me, was good to the environment when produced, and was good to the person who produced it!

Organic food became important to me when I was carrying my son; since then I've been trying harder to limit the chemicals in the food I eat, and going organic does just that.

It's very sad that slavery still exists. Fair trade can help to end this practice. Organic matters because... A bit of chocolate is supposed to be good for us... organic can make it even better, which means I don't feel guilty eating it! :)

Nicole

Fair trade is important to me because it shows that the company behind the product has solid moral standings which matter to me and my family.

Fair Trade and organic matter to me, because it's not only good for me, it's also good for someone else and it almost always tastes better too.
