Here's my recent repurpose.....my fave? An old nightgown into a pillow:)

Jenny - what fabulous repurposing ideas! I love that you used the nightgown for both the lampshade and a pillow. And the old door turned bed headboard is brilliant!

The repurposed door is incredible-is it balancing on the railing? The meal looks pretty yummy too! We are about to start a renovation soon so we'll need to be creative with what's left of our usable living space.

Hi Lori! Yes - we are getting very creative around here with our house turned upside down! It will be worth it in the long run though. Good luck with your renovation too!

Speaking about reusing an out door. I was in need of a large and wide ironing board for my quilting sutdio. I iron large quanity of fabric and a regular ironing board is just not big enough. Quilting ironing boards are very expensive so I talked to my husband and we came up with this idea and it worked out great. Take an old wooden door (preferrable a smooth door) and cover it with two layers of batting and then cover that with a layer of cotton or flannel fabric. Wrap it tight and smooth around the door and tape it or staple it to the back of the door. This works great. You just the door across your regular ironing board and you have a large surface to iron on.

What a great idea Ruth! Who needs an expensive new table when you can reuse a door?

Sometimes I guess you have to make due with what you have. Great idea though, outdoor dining is wonderful !
