Good Girl Gone Green

oh wow. Love that idea! S creative and healthy! :)

Thanks Good Girl Gone Green - I never would have thought of it myself. I'm grateful that my husband is a good cook and loves to experiment in the kitchen!

We make a carrot zucchini cake, and a chocolate zucchini applesauce cake - it uses 2 C zucchini and 1 C applesauce in the making... and I think that makes a yummy dessert! The last couple of rounds I've made, we've made them into cupcakes and kiddos have devoured them too.

Hi SnoWhite - your chocolate zucchini applesauce cake sounds divine!

Thank you so much Alicia - I did have a wonderful birthday! :)

I made a chocolate beet cake once. It was very rich and moist, but had a bit too much earthiness from the beets. I think I did not boil them long enough. I would share the recipe, but don't think I still have it. Surely I found it by simply google though.

Ooooh...chocolate beet cake sounds super good!

I made black bean brownies last week. They are not good warm from the oven, but they taste good after they cool. There are lots of recipes online.

Oh my goodness - black bean brownies? Sounds very interesting! Did the kids eat them?
