I'm probably a bit biased but to me there's nothing quite like driving through the Wisconsin countryside in the fall. Rolling hills, gorgeous leaves, beautiful farms, what's not to love?
Last weekend I had the good fortune to check out some of the stops on the Fall Art Tour in southwest Wisconsin, near Madison. As we drove up and down country roads in search of the artists studios tucked away in the woods, we ooohed and aaahed over the beautiful fall colors. It was a wonderful afternoon!
At another studio, we found some amazing, handmade wooden furniture and cutting boards by Edward Wohl. I would die for one of these chairs but they are out of my budget at the moment.
As it turned out I didn't spend any money on this outing but it is always my preference to support handmade artists over mass produced products. There's a Handmade Minnesota craft market coming up this weekend in my neighborhood. You can bet I'll be there!
Do you like to buy handmade? Who are some of your favorite artisans?
Love the glass leaves!

My wife is a big fan of handmade. We were getting our house done in India(where we got married), and she would just download pictures off of google images of furniture she wanted and got them all handmade!

Shabbir - a friend of mine did that in Nicaragua too. So jealous - wish I could afford more handmade furniture!
